Refund policy
Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy
At Maison Marie-Margaux, every item is thoughtfully selected, carefully described, and packaged with great care. Our collection includes original hand-painted designs, custom creations, and curated vintage and antique treasures.
Please review all product descriptions, measurements, photographs, and details carefully before completing your purchase.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL
All purchases are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, or offer refunds.
This policy applies to all merchandise, including hand-painted oyster plates, vintage and antique pieces, seasonal collections, sale merchandise, and custom or commissioned orders.
Exceptions are made for verified shipping damage and circumstances where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.
ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Once an order has been placed and payment has been completed, it is considered final and cannot be canceled at the customer's request.
Custom and commissioned orders are final upon purchase and cannot be canceled or modified once confirmed.
This policy does not limit any cancellation or refund rights required by applicable law, including those relating to qualifying shipping delays or unfulfilled orders.
SHIPPING DAMAGE & CLAIMS
We take considerable care in packaging each order securely. Shipped merchandise is insured to help protect against damage occurring during transit.
Should your purchase arrive damaged, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery, at bonjour@maisonmariemargaux.com.
To document shipping damage, please provide:
-
Your order number and a description of the damage.
-
Clear photographs of the damaged merchandise.
-
Photographs of the exterior shipping box, including any visible damage.
-
Photographs of all interior packaging and protective materials.
-
A clear photograph of the shipping label.
Please retain the damaged merchandise, original box, and all packing materials until your claim has been reviewed and resolved. These materials may be required for carrier inspection or insurance documentation.
Damage claims must be supported by appropriate documentation. Once shipping damage has been verified, we will arrange an appropriate resolution, which may include a refund for the affected merchandise or a replacement when available.
Because many of our pieces are original, one-of-a-kind, or vintage, identical replacements may not be possible.
Please do not discard packaging or return merchandise without first contacting us.
VINTAGE, ANTIQUE & HAND-PAINTED ITEMS
Our vintage and antique treasures naturally reflect their age and history. Minor wear, patina, variations in finish, and other characteristics consistent with age are part of their unique character and are not considered shipping damage.
Likewise, subtle variations in brushwork, color, and finish are inherent to original hand-painted pieces and are not considered defects.
We make every effort to accurately photograph and describe our merchandise, including noteworthy imperfections.
These characteristics do not qualify for returns or refunds when accurately disclosed.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Please review your information carefully before placing an order.
If an incorrect or incomplete address results in a returned shipment, additional shipping charges may apply for redelivery.
Carrier transit estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates. Shipping delays alone do not qualify for a discretionary refund, although applicable consumer protections remain in effect.
APPROVED REFUNDS
When a refund is approved for verified shipping damage or required by applicable law, it will be issued to the original payment method in accordance with applicable requirements. Processing times may vary by payment provider.
