Vintage Japanese Kutani Geisha Girl Porcelain Cup & Saucer Set

Lovely vintage hand-painted Japanese porcelain cup and saucer set in a colorful Kutani / Geisha Girl export style. The set features a scalloped saucer, footed cup, shaped handle, iron-red/orange trim, floral motifs, figural courtyard scenes, birds, soft pinks, green accents, blue details, and black outlined decorative panels.

This style was popular in Japanese export porcelain from the late 19th through mid-20th century, with many similar pieces made for the Western market.

These pieces are collected for their decorative appeal, hand-painted detail, vibrant colors, delicate porcelain, and charming Geisha/Kutani-style design. This one would be lovely displayed in a china cabinet, tea cup collection, vanity vignette, bookshelf, or chinoiserie-style grouping.
